ELEANOR FRANCES HAMRICK-EVANS, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Born on May 13, 1927 in Beverly, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Butt) Satin. She retired from Bowmar where she once served as union president. She was a former toastmistress and enjoyed spending her time playing bingo. She was a member of the American Legion, a life time member of the VFW, UAW, and the National Audubon Society. Surviving family include her children, Art Hamrick, Lorene (Jerry C.) Bailey, Alison Hamrick, and Sandy Hamrick; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and sisters, Jeri and Florence. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her first husband, Alzie E. Hamrick; second husband, Harold Evans; two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
