Mrs. Bartlett died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding after a long illness.
Born Jan. 22, 1940, in Redding, she had lived in Tehama County since 1984.
She was a homemaker for 42 years and was a member of the Pit River Pioneers Black Powder Club. Her club nickname was "Half Moon."
Survivors include husband Carroll of Cottonwood; son Norman of Glendale; daughters Carolyn Wilcox of Cottonwood, Bonnie Castner of Roseburg, Ore., Dawn Myers of Yakima, Wash., and Janice Bartlett of Eureka; stepson Ronnie Bartlett of Burney; stepdaughters Melody Garbot and Rebecca Owens, both of Burney; brothers Donald Barker of Anderson, George Barker of Cottonwood and Sam Barker of Cottonwood; sisters Betty Shepard of San Bernardino, Mary Bartlett of Cottonwood and Rosemary Edwards of Calimesa; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
