A Valentine baby, Fran was born on February 14, 1938 in New York City where she lived with her parents Margaret and John Vogeney and her two brothers John and George.
In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob ("Red") Guerin, whom she had known since grade school. They set out on an exciting adventure that spanned 58 years, included five children, much love and laughter, and brought them to Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and finally the great state of Texas.
Fran was a loving wife to Red and a wonderful mother to her children. In the early years she was very involved with school, activities with her kids, her church, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
In the later years she spent time with her "Point Venture girls" enjoying golf, bridge, dominos, and book club. These were some of her happiest times.
She had many talents she was an excellent seamstress, an amazing artist, she had a beautiful singing voice and could play the piano by ear. But, her most special talent was her ability to make and keep friends with so many who crossed her path.
Her oldest and dearest friend from the age of three, Sue Mackin, was like a sister to her. She stayed in touch with her special friends from Florida (AKA The Mystery Club) for more than forty years, and she cherished her Austin & Point Venture friends who kept her entertained until the end.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend, Red, and is survived by her children, Bob Jr., John, Kerry, Jennifer, and Suzanne, their spouses, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Fran was truly one of a kind. She was devoted to God, she was generous, she was grateful for all she had, and she was extremely loving. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lago Vista, Texas; officiated by Father Don Loftin.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Vincent De Paul in care of St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Memory of Frances Guerin.
