Shelby J Ford Jr, 73, of Utica passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mr. Ford was born August 10, 1944 in Hartford to the late Shelby and Reva Westerfield Ford. A simple man, Shelby enjoyed hard work, carpentry, fixing things and tinkering with lawn mowers and old cars. He loved animals especially his pets. Shelby never met a stranger and liked to stop by the Utica store on his way home from work to enjoy the company of friends.

Mr. Ford also was preceded in death by his brother, George Ford.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years, Wanda Ford; sons, Steve Ford and wife Angie and Jason Ford and wife Krista; daughters, Denise Mattingly and husband Barry, Shelly Richeson and husband Danny, Stacy Dunn and husband Larry; stepson Tod Mullen; eight grandchildren, Shelby Ford (Anna Claire), Devin Ford, Bryan Ford, Brittany Woolverton (Lance), Ryan Richeson, Trevor Dunn, Brooke Dunn, Nyla Ford; step grandchildren, Damien and Anthony Mullen and Iran Basham.

Services will be noon Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Craig Bratcher officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 until 7pm and Wednesday after 11 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bells Run Cemetery.
