Funeral services for Robert M. Hamlett, 49, of Winnsboro formally of Lynchburg, VA. will be Friday 1 pm in the chapel of Gill Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Robert was born June 7,1968 in Lynchburg ,VA where he was raised by his father John William Hamlett and his mother Evelynn Hamlett and passed from this life on December 23, 2017 at his residence in Winnsboro. He was a devoted Christian, he loved all sports and was a Star Wars collector and fan. He is preceded in death by his father; Grandparents : Franklin and Glades Mays Hamlett.
Robert is survived by his mother Evelynn Hamlett of Winnsboro LA ; two aunts : Frances Webb, of Madison Hights, VA and Carolyn Martin of Midlothian, VA ; one uncle: Doug Hamlett of Drakes Branch, VA. and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers there will be three donation boxes, one for disabled Veterans, one for Israel refugees, and one for Toys for Tots.
