Victor A. Miller Jr. age, 87 of Springfield passed away at 10:49 a.m. 19th day of January in Cox South Hospital after a short illness.
Vic was an United States Army Veteran having served his country for 20 ½ years. He was a member of the 101st Airborne and he also served abroad in Germany, Japan, and Korea. The rest of his time was spent as an Army recruiter. Vic then worked in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, both in Leavenworth and finally here in Springfield, retiring after 20 years.
Vic is preceded in death by his parents, Victor A. Miller Sr. and Marquerite Miller and his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Jean Miller.
He is survived by his daughter Debra Ice and husband Wayne; granddaughter Jennifer Ice and great grandsons Ethan and Wyatt; son, Guy F. Miller; granddaughter, Lauren Petit and husband Michael, great granddaughter Olivia, grandson Austin Victor Miller and wife Morgan, great grandson Anders and great granddaughter Liza Jean, granddaughter Allison Jean Holley and husband Matt; son Mark Miller and wife Becky, granddaughter Jyssica Miller, granddaughter Kristin Jean Vincent and husband Sawyer.
Graveside service at Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military honors.
