Funeral service for Kenneth Dewayne Johns, 55, of Wisner, will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Shady Grove Baptist Church, with Bro. Kent Nugent and Bro. Mike Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in South Central Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Youngs Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Kenneth, a truck driver for Haring Enterprise, was born on April 25, 1962, in Winnsboro, LA to the union of Delmis Lee Johns and Mildred Laverne Mixon Johns, and passed from this life on January 16, 2018 in Wisner, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Delmis Johns; paternal grandparents, Robert Lee Johns and Del Dee Johns; and maternal grandparents, Rev. Willard C. Mixon and Oma Priest Mixon.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Dobson Johns; sons, Brandon Johns, Timothy Irby, Forrest Dewayne Dobson and wife Crystal, and Michael Dale Johns and wife Krystal; mother, Mildred Mixon Johns; brother, Darryl Johns and wife Diana; sisters, Angie Holloway and husband Joe, Vicki Morris and husband Tony, and Kristy Lain and husband Frank; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers to honor Mr. Johns will be Carey Albritton, Casey Albritton, Shawn Griffith, Bill Sharp, Bubba Ferguson, Caleb Robinson, Brad Robinson, and John Boy Robinson.
