Robert was born September 30, 1919 in Fromberg, Montana to parents Fred Ernest Foust and Edith Lenore Brown.

He Graduated from Fromberg High School and later married Patricia Dowell of Edgar, Montana. Robert loved farming and farmed in Fromberg Montana for many years.

He later went to work in the oil fields of Wyoming and then returned to farming in Nampa, Idaho. Robert also lived in Phoenix, Arizona but in 1958 moved back to Star, Idaho to take over his parents farm.

In 1967 he went to work at the United States Postal Service and worked at the Post Office in Boise, Idaho where worked until he retired in 1985. He loved to travel to Washington DC, Florida, Alaska, and Montana to visit relatives. He enjoyed helping his son on his farm with building projects, and planting and harvesting corn. His hobby was woodworking. He made several cedar chests, sleds, swing sets, wagons, and pedal cars for his great grandkids as well as many other wood projects.

Robert is survived by his daughter Barbara Kock of Caldwell, Idaho, son Robert Jr. and wife Virginia of New Plymouth, Idaho, sister, Betty Ryder of Lewistown, Montana, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patricia. There are no services being held at his request.
