SHEILA (O'KEEFE) WALLACE, Age 88, of Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of Piqua, Ohio, died Wednesday October 18, 2006 at Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Sheila was born Dec. 12, 1917 in Coole Carrignavar, County Cork, Ireland to the late James and Julia (Donavan) O'Keefe. She came to the United States with her family in 1927 and grew up in Lorain, Ohio.
She married Charles E. Wallace Jan. 3, 1940 and he preceded her in death April 28, 1988, and enjoyed 48 years together. They resided in Piqua from 1962-1982.
Surviving is one Daughter Margaret (Peg) Moffa of Chillicothe, Ohio and two Sons And Daughter-In-Laws: Timothy & Margie Wallace of Piqua, O; Daniel & Linda Wallace of Miamisburg, O. Ten Grandchildren and spouses: MaryJo (Moffa) & Wade Wright, Margaret (Moffa) & Rod Hale, Cathy (Moffa) & John Martin, Melissa Moffa, Paul & Ali Moffa, Mindy, Tricia & Mark Wallace and Chris and Patrick Wallace, and also survived by ten Great Grandchildren.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Ohio State Patrol Captain Charles E. Wallace, three Sisters: Bessie McIntyre, Bridgette Schindler, and Eileen Latino. two Brothers: Cornelius and Timothy O'Keefe. One Son-In-Law: Joseph Moffa.
Mrs. Wallace graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1935 in Lorain, Ohio. She was a current member of St. Mary Church in Chillicothe, O. and a former member of St. Mary Church in Piqua. She was a member of the Ladies Catholic Sodality in Chillicothe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 21, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church, Piqua with Rev.Fr. Thomas Grilliot as celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Arrangements are being handled by MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio.
