David Martin Sterling (USA-RET), 77 of St. Charles, MO., died Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. He was born January 25, 1940 in Hazleton, PA. The son of the late James Sterling and Kristine Bender (nee Yamarik).

Mr. Sterling proudly served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1977. He then worked as an engineer at Boeing, retiring in 2011. David was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Loving father of Katherine Mary Steele and Charles William Sterling. Loving grandfather Heather Anne, William Lee, Madisyn Kylie and Ethan Gregory and great grandfather of Christopher Allen and Jace Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Margaret Irene Sterling (nee Steele).

He opened his heart and home to all to entered.

There will be a graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on January 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

A celebration of life will be held at Salem United Methodist Church on January 22, 2018 at 11:30 with a lunch to follow.
