Wise Chips employee was devoted to family
Beverly A. Hess, 82, of Wapwallopen, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her family by her side.
Born on April 12, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Clement H. and Viola Schaffer. She was raised and educated in the Wilkes-Barre area, and worked at Wise Potato Chips for 28 years.
Beverly was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Hobbie. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Her time was mainly devoted to her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always the center of her attention.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 63 years, Earl A. Hess Sr.; sons: Earl Hess Jr. and wife, Virginia, Wapwallopen, Richard Hess and wife, BethAnne, Berwick, daughter, Donna Hess Jensen, and fiancé, Scott Bennett, Hobbie; four granddaughters: Jennifer Malcein and husband, Eric, Andrea Hess, Janine Wyda and husband, Jason, Autumn Hacker and husband, Kevin; great-granddaughters: Kelsey, Riley, Kalli, Ava, McKenna, and Acadia; and brother, George Schaffer, and wife, Maureen, Florida.
At Beverly’s request, services will be private. Interment will take place in Silver Maple Cemetery, Hobbie. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck, is assisting her family.
