Mr. Kaye was a World War II U. S. Army veteran and had retired from the Board of Education in New York. He was a Mason, Shriner and volunteer fireman in Freeport, New York. Mr. Kaye was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. Kaye; two grandchildren, Amanda Swanson and Bryan Bingel.
Survivors include his three daughters, Virginia East, Janis Swanson and Jody Pilka; and six granddaughters.
A service will be held at noon on Monday, January 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors.
