Earl Pate was a true southern gentleman, and was a wonderful Christian husband & father. He was a longtime member of Bessemer First Baptist Church, and worked as a manager for Liberty National Insurance Company where he retired after many years. He was preceded in death by his parents WilliamJ. Pate & Ida L. Marshall Pate, & his wife of 66 years, Annye Thompson Pate. He is survived by his son Dr. Earl Pate wife Martha), grandsons: Earl Pate 111 ( wife Donna), Scott Pate ( wife Christy), and 5 great grandsons.
