1961 obituary. RAYMOND - Leonce A. Emerson, 75, a retired machinist, died Wednesday in his home here after a long illness. He was born in South Boston, Mass., October 7, 1886, son of Fay and Florence Davis Emerson. Mr. Emerson came here seven years ago from Tiverton, R.I. He was a member of American War Dads and Presumpscot Lodge, AF & AM, Windham. Surviving are his widow, Rachel; two sons, Kenneth, South Portland, and Sgt. John, Tucson, Arizona; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at a Quaker Ridge, Casco, funeral home. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
