Michelle was born on June 23, 1961 in Iowa City, Iowa, the third born of six children to Jerrie and Dorothy (Dee) Rogers. She attended Regina and City High Schools then earned her degree in Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa.

She married Kent Meyer in Iowa City. They lived in Cedar Rapids and later moved to Ft. Mill, South Carolina where they raised their two sons, Jeremy and William (Will).

Michelle had a passion for learning and shared it with all who were blessed to know her. Through the act of home-schooling, she extended her own thirst for knowledge to her two sons. Michelle embraced organic living and was a true lover of life. She always chose to live life her way, sometimes out of the box, always focusing on the best way of taking care of her family.

Michelle had a strong will, a gentle spirit and a generous heart, a most perfect combination that allowed her to support those who needed her wisdom and guidance. Michelle had a keen awareness and willingness to give to those in need. Michelle enjoyed classical music, spending time with her family, daily walks, traveling and watching movies.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Kent; their two boys, Jeremy of San Francisco, California and Will of Richardson, Texas; mother, Dorothy Rogers; siblings, Julie (Rick) Berry, Mary (Bill) Ticer, Laurie (Amy) Rogers, and Steve “Buck” (Carole) Rogers all of Arizona; father and mother-in-law Jim and Madeline Meyer of Odebolt, Iowa; brother-in-law Jay (Debi) Meyer of Excelsior, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, Kami (Andrea) Berry, Ryan (Katie) Berry, Kaycie Berry, Kristian Berry, Travis (Caitlin) Dyer, Taylor Dyer, Davis Strefling, Jacob Becerra, Hailey Rogers, Corey Rogers, Emma Rogers, Calvin Meyer, and Riley Meyer.
