Bob was a Korean veteran and loved his country, God, and his family. He was very proud of his service and spent 18 months in Korea. He and Marge were married on January 1, 2004 and shared 14 years together. They spent time traveling around the country, visiting flea markets, and spending time with family. He enjoyed woodworking and created numerous crafts for his family and friends. Bob preferred to be outdoors and was an avid deer hunter.

Bob and Ann were married on November16, 1952. They had 3 children and raised them on a farm outside of Greenfield and shared 50 years of married life.

He was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church and rarely missed a service. Bob's love of God prompted him to read his Bible through several times, and had started his reading again. He was not ashamed to share his love of God with everyone. Bob loved the old hymns and used to sing to his children on the way home from church. He attended a verse by verse Bible study for 6 years.
Bob worked for MFA several years and retired from the ASCS office in Greenfield. He also raised cattle, and was one to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed help.
