"Clara Jean Newton Craig, 88, of Greenwood, IN, formally of Hawesville, passed away on January 14, 2018 at Greenwood Health & Living. She was born in Weber, KY on November 9, 1929 to the late Raymond A. and Elizabeth Bolin Newton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon K. Leslie, a granddaughter, Shonda Yvonne Cuppy, a sister Mary Spencer and three brothers Don Newton, June Newton and Bobby Lynn Newton.

Survivors include a daughter, Lana Craig (David) Akin; a son, Stephen Craig; 4 grandchildren, Lara Lee Smith, Michelle K. (Jones) Stearman, Leah Jo Craig Price and Jared Caleb Craig; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, L.T. Newton , Carlos (Mary Edith) Newton and Harold Wayne (Mickey) Newton along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Serenity Hills. Visitation will be held from 10 am until service time at the funeral home."
