Clement, James Crandle, Jr. of Johnston, died on January 13, 2018 at Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn (DeAngelis) Clement and is survived by two daughters, Cheryl M. Rogers and her husband Kenneth of Johnston and Karen L. Stetson and her late husband
L. Richard of Scituate and one son, James Clement, III of Johnston; four grandchildren, Richard Stetson, Christopher Stetson, Kerri Rogers, Joshua Rogers; and one sister, Marie Gaglia of East Providence. He was the brother of the late Joseph Clement.
Mr. Clement was a U.S. Army veteran who was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
For many years Mr. Clement was a self-employed mechanic and former owner of several gas stations in Warwick. For twenty years he was employed at the Hurd Auto Mall.
He was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed going to his niece’s home on Sundays for family gatherings and to watch the games. Additionally, he loved dogs and enjoyed cruises. He built the home in which he lived.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
