Christine Rita Luli, age 73, of Rootstown, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018.
Christine was born in Ravenna, Ohio to parents Roy H. Kline and Rita (Lang) Kline on February 12, 1944. A life-long resident of Portage County, Christine graduated from Rootstown High School and Kent State University where she attained a Master’s Degree in education. She retired from Rootstown Schools where she enjoyed a long career in special education at Rootstown Middle School. Christine attended St. Peter of the Fields Church where she was active in the choir. When her children were young she was very proud to be their 4-H advisor. Christine loved to take walks in the woods and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading and attending her grandchildren’s events.
Christine is survived by her husband, Raymond W. Luli, to whom she was married for 53 years and her children: Angela (Dennis) Smith, Shawn (Kelli) Luli, Amy (Brian) Glass and her grandchildren: Jordan & William Luli and Lauren & Ally Glass. She also leaves her sisters and brothers: Linda Easterday, Mary Kay (Paul) Burnett, David (Mary Lou) Kline and Dan (Beth) Kline.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Margaret Kline.
Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. Ravenna, on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Saturday, January 20, at St. Peter of the Fields Church from 10:00am until the 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. David Misbrener at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown, Ohio. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery.

Christine’s family extends their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Summa At Home Hospice and especially Amy, Paula, Lisa and Ellen for their wonderful and compassionate care given to Christine and our family.
