Marilyn A. (Luegge) Hansen, age 87, of Winona, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Winona Health Hospital, Winona. She was born in Faribault County, on Nov. 24, 1930, the daughter of Elmer G. and Ruth (Davis) Luegge.

Marilyn earned a bachelor and masters degree in education from Winona State College. She then taught elementary school in Lewiston, for over 20 years.

She is a member of Central Lutheran Church, Winona. Marilyn enjoyed golf and was a passionate bridge player for numerous years.

Marilyn is survived by a son, Charles (Erin) of Byron; a daughter, Leanne Hansen (Phil Davis) of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Kathryn (Ryan) Badger, Courtney (Kyle) Millar, Andrea (Jan) Mestakovi, Theresa (Joe) Mattson, and Leah (Aaron) Bailey as well as nine great grandchildren.

Twin brothers survive, Keith (Linda) Luegge, of Sheridan, Wyoming and Neil (Kathleen) Luegge, of Duluth.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and grandson Stephen Poljack.

Memorial services celebrating Marilyn's life were on Thursday, Dec. 28, at Central Lutheran Church, Winona. Interment, at a later date, will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Central Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
