N. Christine Coffey, age 90, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Reid Health.
Born May 5, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, to Joe William and Louanna Stokes Cromer, Christine moved to this community in 1952. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. Christine worked at Belden as a specification engineering manager, retiring in 1988. She was a life-long servant of the Lord and member of the Pentecostal Church of Richmond, where she taught Sunday school. Christine enjoyed attending and singing at church, traveling, quilting and crafts, and cooking. She loved her family, especially the younger ones, and the children at church who she treated as her own.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jesse E. Coffey; sister, Margaret Coffey; brother, Gary Ray (Janie) Cromer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Jack Cromer and infant brother, Billy Cromer.
Visitation for N. Christine Coffey will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Dr. Steven D. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
