Debra “Deb” Campbell, 54, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Father Matthew Solyntjes will celebrate Mass. Father Paul Eisele will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.
Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. There will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at the church. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, Deb requests memorials to Gehlen Catholic School, All Saints Parish in Le Mars, and/or St. Peter Lutheran Church in Brunsville.
Debra Renee Willer was born July 9, 1963 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Charles “Chuck” and Joyce (Laughton) Willer. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1981. Following high school, she attended Stewarts Beauty School in Sioux City.
During college, she started working for Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars and babysat for several years. Later, she went to work for Harker’s in Le Mars before going to work for Wells’ Dairy in their corporate office. After working at Wells’, she became the housing director for Willow Creek Senior Living in Le Mars. She truly loved her interactions with all the residents. She worked for Willow Creek until her retiring due to her health.
She was united in marriage to Bob Campbell on September 13, 1986 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.
She was a member of All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars where she was active with perpetual adoration. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Deb volunteered her time as a CCD teacher and helping with the annual parish rummage sale.
Deb was also a member of the Brunsville Garden Club for several years. She also volunteered her time with civic organizations. Through the years, she enjoyed bible study, decorating, and attending garage sales. She also loved animals. She and Bob enjoyed taking trips in the Corvette and traveling. She also enjoyed going for walks with her family in Westfield.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Campbell of Le Mars; her mother: Joyce Willer of Le Mars; her brother: Michael (Kim) Willer of Sioux City, IA, and their children, Kyle and Cody; her sister: Susan Willer (Barry Poe) of Brunsville, IA; her sister: Julie (Jon) Donnelly of Sioux City, IA, and their son, Jonas; her mother in law: Jenieta Campbell of Le Mars; her sister in law: Mary Kay (Mike) Dreckman of Le Mars, and their children, Cheri, Tony, and Christina; her sister in law: Janet (Mike) Sorensen of Le Mars, and their children, Eric, Corrin, and Zachary; and other extended family.
