Gary Eugene Looney was born on 9 November 1952 in Bremerton, Washington to Charles Elmer and Evelyn Cornelia (Gillespie) Looney.
On 23 March 1972 Gary was inducted into the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged on 5 January 1974 as a Private First Class.
Then on 25 March 1978 he married Ronda Sue Harris in Battle Ground, Washington. They divorced on 31 July 1981 in Kitsap County, Washington.
At the young age of 31, Gary passed away at a residence in Gig Harbor, Washington of Aspiration of gastric contents caused by an overdose of Valium and Methadone, on 21 December 1983.
