The son of the late Frank R. & Genevieve PierceCritelli, he was born January 7, 1942 in Middletown, NY.
Joe was the husband of Paula Lattimer Critelli.
Joe was a graduate of Goshen High School and Cornell University. He loved growing beautiful flowers and was always proud of his vegetable garden. He was a devoted husband and loved traveling with his wife to Maui. Joe served his community for 30 years as a member of the Wawayanda Zoning Board of Appeals.
Joe is survived by his stepson, Gary Knibbs Jr. and Jessica Ferrari; stepdaughter, Brenda Knibbs Penaluna and her husband Rich; grandchildren, Samantha & Brianna Knibbs; and Richard and Lydia Penaluna; sister-in-law Judy Critelli; nephew Jason Smith and his wife Monica; nephew, Jamie Critelli; and his niece Alicia Critelli.
He was predeceased by his brother Frank R. Critelli Jr.
Memorial visitation will be held, for both Joe and Paula, on Thursday, December 14th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Memorial services, for both Paula and Joe, will be held 10AM Friday, December 15th at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery along with his wife Paula.
