Mr. Kevin Antwon Watkins was born March 11, 1988, to Karen Yvette Martin and Michael Anthony Watkins. He departed this life Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem where he attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools and was a former employee of UPS. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvonne Y. Martin. Survivors include his mother of the home, Karen Yvette Martin; a sister, Jamie N. Martin of Winston-Salem; grandfather Daniel W. Martin of Walkertown; four aunts, Laura (Rod) Carter of Winston-Salem; Melissa Martin of Greensboro; Hope Martin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Joyce (Roger) Petty of Charlotte; three uncles, Kelly Martin of Atlanta, Ga.; Kenny Martin of Walkertown; and Keith Martin of Atlanta; and a host of great-uncles, great-aunts and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at The Church of the Living God, Kernersville, with Bishop Fidel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Lowe' s Memorial Holy Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the church.
