Mr. Phillips was born in Royston, GA on May 24, 1957, son of Mary Ruth Powers Phillips of Royston, GA and the late L.T. Phillips. He was a machine operator having worked at Tenneco, was a United States Air Force Veteran and formerly attended New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville, GA.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his half-sister, Marla Lemley.
Survivors also include his wife, Tawne Ronk Phillips; and brother, Samuel Phillips of Royston.
Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with Rev. Mike Spence and Rev. Garrett Baine officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Worship Center Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour on Thursday morning. The family is at their respective homes.
