Mr. Wesley Orrell Roberts was born on January 31, 1948. He was a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL.
Mr. Roberts was employed at The International Paper Company where he served dutifully as an electrician and maintenance supervisor until retiring. He was a loving and faithful husband, father and Papa. His life was one of ministry as his devotion to his Lord and Savior was evident for all to see in his everyday life and in all that he did. He loved God and loved people. He was a member of Pathway Church, and ministered at the Home of Grace for over 20 yrs. He was a former member of Orchard Assembly of God where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and in various other areas of ministry.
Mr. Roberts went home to Jesus on January 14, 2018. He was in his home surrounded by his beautiful wife, children and grandchildren.
He preceded in death by his father, Wesley Orrell Roberts; mother, Grace Irene Roberts; and sister, Beverly Gayle Roberts
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 51 yrs. Patsy Roberts; three children, Jayson (Margaret) Roberts; Patrick (Leah) Roberts; Kasi (James) Orr; one brother Michael (Linda) Roberts; thirteen wonderful grandchildren Joseph, Emily (Caleb), Sophia, Blake, Genevieve, Garrett, Conner, Gavin, Caroline, Savannah, Cooper, Marly, and Jax; and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 for visitation from 11am until 1pm Pathway Church at 7200 Moffett Rd. Mobile, Al 36618. A service will be held at 1pm at the church. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Ascension Funerals & Cremations, 1016 Hillcrest Rd., Mobile, AL 36695. Memorials may be made in honor of Wesley Roberts to the Mission Ministry of Pathway Church.
