Carl Thomas "Bud" Freeman

Mr. Carl Thomas “Bud” Freeman died Sunday night in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Freeman was born in Beaufort, August 22, 1940, a son of the late Thomas Hamilton Freeman and Nellie Ruth Reddick Freeman. He was a skilled master carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Bud worked at Parris Island for many years in several different departments and served in the Hampton National Guard Unit. He graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1959 and was a member and Deacon of Deep Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving are: His wife: Trudie DeLoach Freeman of Varnville; Son: Vincent Carl Freeman and wife Janice of Denver, North Carolina; Daughter: Jill F. Herring and friend James Wing of The Rock, Georgia; Sisters: Dot F. Drawdy of Brunson and Evon F. Necaise of Lobeco; Mother-in-Law: Dora H. DeLoach of Varnville; Brother-in-Law: Richard C. “Dick” DeLoach and wife Jane of Raleigh, North Carolina; and grandchildren: Steven and Ryan Herring and Nicholas Freeman. There are a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 16th, in the Deep Branch Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Glen Samples with burial in the Sand Hill Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
