ULYSSES S. GRANT MCDERMOND, 85, who had lived for the past ten years at the home of his niece, Myrtle, wife of Frank Ackerman, 475 North Charlotte Street, died yesterday morning in Pottstown Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Amelia (Seipp) McDermond, who died in 1943.
Mr. McDermond, a retired machinist, came to Pottstown from Philadelphia and has lived in retirement since then.
He was the son of the late James and Hannah McDermond.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 o’clock from a funeral home at 466 North Franklin street. Interment will be in Fernwood cemetery. The Rev. Delaine E. Story, pastor of First Baptist Church will officiate.
