Collier died in his residence Thursday, September 18, 1973. He was retired from Mobil Oil Pipeline.
He is a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Kirbyville Masonic Lodge No. 294 AM &FM. He has been a Mason for 56 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Lively, Labelle, Mrs. Inez Walker, Bryan, Mrs. Helen Bevil, Corpus Christi, and Mrs. Eva Rae Lewis, Houston; two brothers, Dallas Collier, Silsbee and Frank Collier, Baytown; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his wife Eva (Gilchriest) Collier and his parents Madison Lane Collier and Gertrude (Grissom) Collier.
Graveside rites will be held by the Kirbyville Masonic Lodge.
