She was the daughter of the late Hampton "Hamp" and Mossie Mashburn Yow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. "Bob" Brown; three sisters, Edith Routh, Hortense Womack, and Mabel Bremer; three brothers, Paige Yow, Paul T. Yow, and Robert "Bobby" Yow, and a grandson, Justin Wright. She was survived by two daughters, Karen Oldham (Marty) and Lisa Godwin (Rocky); one son, Reginald "Reggie" Brown; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one step-grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
