Matthew Dylan Barnes, age 17, of Newport, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Jonathan Barnes and Daniel Barnes, Jr; and his grandmother, Mary Holder.
He is survived by his mother, Samantha Barnes (Shaun Stinson); sister, Dakota Stinson; brother, Waylon Stinson; grandparents, Jean and Danny Barnes; very special nurses, Scott Chapman, Kaylyn Quisenberry and Jennifer Sims; also other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2018 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Clifford Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Waters Large Cemetery.
