Garretson--Karine R. "Kay" Brennan, 86, died Friday, November 10, 2000 at Palisade Manor Nursing Home in Garretson.
Karine Brandt was born May 23, 1914 in Garretson. She grew up on a farm near Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1932. She married Paul Brennan on June 21, 1941 in Garretson. They farmed on the family farm in Rock County. Her husband died in 1990. She remained on the family farm until 1997, when she moved to an apartment in Garretson.
She was an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church and St. Rose Altar Society and the Garretson Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, June Brandt, of Sioux Falls and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church in Garretson. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.
