Hilda Caldwell, 98, of Atkins, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born October 24, 1919, in Boerne, Texas, daughter of the late Henry and Ella Vollmering Erfurt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Caldwell; and a son, Lonnie Caldwell.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Caldwell and wife Brenda, and Ray Caldwell and wife Gayle; daughter-in-law, Dana Caldwell; brother, Leroy Erfurt; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Monday, January 15, at Lemley Chapel with Dr. Ferrel Duffel and David Harelson officiating. Burial is in Childers Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Michael Whitecotton, Lonnie Caldwell, Jr., Jimmy Sargent, Dalton Ennis, Steve Riley, and Jeremy Ogle. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
