LORDSTOWN — Laverne Hall, 84, of Lordstown, passed on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, in St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was returning to Lordstown from the Leavittsburg home of her terminally ill son, Minot Mosher, 59, who has since passed.

Laverne was born on Sept. 7, 1933 in Northfield, the daughter of Donald and Verna Newland Dell. She had been a long-time area resident.

She enjoyed working as an activity director with the residents of nursing homes. Her career began at the Oak Park Health Care in Oakwood Village in Bedford. She also had been employed at Cortland Health Care and most recently at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls.

Laverne was a member of the Newton Falls First Baptist Church.

Memories of Laverne will be carried on by her family, Sherry (Ronald) Holmes of Cross Plains, Tennessee, Robin Fisher of Tennessee, Ray (Treva) Reeves of Lordstown and Duane (Joie) Reeves of Champion; her grandchildren, Adam, Michael, James, John, Robert, Zack and John; her great-grandchildren and her brother, Ron Stulz of Arizona.

Preceding Laverne were her parents, her husband, Louis Hall; and her son, Minot Mosher on Jan. 13, 2018.

Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, where a service will be held at 11 a.m., with Rev. Stephen Spurlock officiating.

Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
