Ms. Sharon Sharpe, age 61, of Uvalda, died Saturday, January 13, 2018, at her home, after an extended illness. She was native of Memphis, Tennessee, moved to Toombs County in the late 1960’s, and was a 1975 graduate of Montgomery County High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and was a Registered Nurse for many years. She nursed in south Florida, and at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, where she also lived for ten years. She returned home November of 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bertha Gordon Sharpe.
A private graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sharpe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Savannah Humane Society, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah GA 31406, or by Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, by visitng their website at komencoastalgeorgia.org
