Mrs. C. W. King, resident of this city for a number of years, passed away at the home Sunday afternoon, March 13, following a long illness.

Miranda Belle Brinkley was born near Milan, Missouri, May 21, 1867. She was united in marriage to C. W. King, June 7, 1884. To this union six children were born, two preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn, her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bert VanDyke of Laclede; three sons, Virgil and Frank of the home and Michael of Brookfield; also five grandchildren and one great grand child; three brothers, Hampton Brinkley of Laclede; James Brinkley, Cora; Ambers Brinkley, Browning; two sisters, Mrs. Delia Turner, Cora and Mrs. Emma Bradley of Miami, Florida.

Funeral services were held at White Oak Church near Cora Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Nelson of Brookfield and burial in the White Oak Cemetery by Director Thorne.
