Joe was born November 24, 1937 in Pilot Point to Wesley and Bessie Garrett. He served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army.
Survivors: Wife Barbara; children, Kenny, Sheri, Deborah, John, Keith, and Curtis; two brothers, one sister, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
