Joanne Sutherland Williamson, 87 of Amissville, VA died peacefully with her family at UVA Culpeper Hospital.
She was born on November 13, 1930 at Niagara Falls, NY a daughter of the late Benjamin Howe Sutherland and Leona Belle Swann Sutherland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Warren R. Williamson; her son, Wayne Williamson; and a brother, Ron Sutherland.
Mrs. Williamson was retired from American Automobile Association (AAA).
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Manion; her son-in-law, Steve Manion; a daughter-in-law, Lori Smith-Williamson; her brother, Kenneth Sutherland of Lewiston, NY; her grandchildren, Lauren Putzke, Michael Manion, Kara Manion, and Robert Manion; her great grandchildren, Harper Putzke and Steele Putzke; nieces and nephews, Bruce, Wendy, Dennis, Ben and Stephen Sutherland all of the Lewiston, NY area.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM when funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
