Bill graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1960. He went on to attend Concordia Teacher's College in River Forest, IL, attained his Master's degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his Ph.D. degree in Psychology at Marquette University.

On June 10, 1978, Bill married Janice Romanshek at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Racine. They shared 28 beautiful years together, before Janice passed away on September 18, 2006.

After graduating from Concordia, Bill took an assignment to teach at the International School in Hong Kong. Bill was employed with Racine Unified as a school psychologist for over 30 years, until his retirement in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, brother Aaron, brother Jim, and brother-in-law Arlan Hudzinski.
