Mary Ann was born September 14, 1928 in Walthill, Nebraska to Nels and Olga Pearson. She married Ray Schmiedeskamp on November 27, 1947 in Walthill, Nebraska.
Mary Ann was truly one of a kind. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many especially her family, friends, bridge club, red hat society ladies, coffee group, and her Cape Cod camping friends. She loved company and to cook for all. You could show up at her house any time of day without notice and be welcomed in for a delicious meal. She had many talents including, award winning china painter, bridge player extraordinaire, pie baker, and candy maker. She was a lifelong tent camper and traveler and you could always expect a handwritten postcard from every trip. She was simply the best in every way.
Survivors include son Roger (Dian) Schmiedeskamp, Urbandale, Iowa. Also, surviving are her sisters Hilda Pearson and Donna (Eli) Berger, sister-in-law Janet Pearson, granddaughters Ragan (Andrew) Webb, Micaela Schmiedeskamp, great-grandchildren Daniel and Cassidy, son-in-law Philip Frassica. She also had many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia, siblings Alice (Eddie) Copple, Betty (Jerry) Stanek, Dorothy (Bob) Macklin, Elmer (Irene) Pearson, Orville (Evelyn) Pearson, and L. John Pearson.
