Heather Lynn Hogan, 41, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away January 12, 2018.

Born in Hot Springs, AR, the daughter of James Goldsmith and Jodie Wendtland, she served her country proudly as a veteran of the U. S. Navy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She received her Master's Degree in Teaching in only 4 ½ years while being a mother, military wife, and pregnant with her fourth child. She was a teacher in the Norfolk Public School System.

Left to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 10 years, Jeffrey Hogan; children, Sonia, Brendon, Katelynd, and Ava; grandson, Bradley; mother-in-law, Ruth Dean and husband, Tod; and father-in-law, Jeffrey John Hogan, Sr., and wife, Maria; and several other loving family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Heather's name to Westminster Cantebury Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel with a reception to follow. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
