Shannon Reid, 73 years of age died Saturday January 13, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1944 in Stanford, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Hattie (Cress) Reid and was an owner operator truck driver his entire life. He was last employed by T.C.X. Trucking out of Nashville, TN. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and friends.
Shannon was preceded in death by a son William Reid.
Surviving Include: Wife of fifty-one years Lynda D. (Proffitt) Reid, two children; Jody Lee Miller (Tracy) and Renee Kathlene Reid. Four grandchildren; Isaiah, Eve, Bailey, and Halie. Two siblings; Troy Reid (Sherry), and Helen Green. Also several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday January 17th, and after 9:00 am Thursday January 18th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday January 18th, in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
