Andrew Paul “Andy” Bowman, 36, of South Carolina, died March 29, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Savannah, Ga.

He was born Feb. 6, 1977, in Anderson, Ind., to Charles H. “Charlie” and Cheryl L. (Isaacson) Bowman. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1995.

He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marines from 1998 to 2003 in San Diego, Calif. He was a lead Avionics Technician for Gulf Stream Aerospace for five years.

He enjoyed fishing, golf, shooting and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents; his wife, Vicki (Blaszkiewicz) Bowman of Ravenel, S.C.; son, Maddox Charles Bowman; maternal grandfather, Don Hancock; paternal grandmother, Dora F. Bowman; three brothers, Joe C. (Sarah) Bowman of Whiteland, Ind., Mike P. (Lyndsi) Bowman of Clarksville, Tenn., and Steve C. Bowman of Whiteland, Ind.; and six nieces, Ashley J. and Lindsey A. Bowman, Bailynn, Maddie, Payton and Katharine Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles H. Bowman Sr.; and his grandmother, Betty J. Hancock.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield where military graveside rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson, Ind.
