Beverly L. Higgins, age 74, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born November 29, 1943 in Jefferson County, Indiana she was the daughter of Henry and Evelyn (Eppley) Morris.

On November 20, 1961, she was united in marriage to Ralph L. Higgins. She collected angel dolls, enjoyed shopping, visiting flea markets, listening to country and gospel music, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Higgins retired from Madison Consolidated Schools in 2008 after serving as a custodian, cook, and substitute for many years at Lydia Middleton and Eggleston Elementary Schools.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ralph, of Madison; her daughters: Debbie Lethermon and her husband, Keith of Madison, and Tracie Higgins of Madison, her sons: Chris Higgins and his wife, Anne of Madison, and Kenny Higgins and his wife, Brenda of Madison; her brothers: Lawrence Morris and his wife, Rachel of Charlestown, Indiana and Randy Thornton of Columbus, Indiana; her step-father, Larry Courtney and his wife, Leona of Carrollton, Kentucky; her step-brothers: Roger Morris of Clarksville, Tennessee; Donald Morris, Tim Morris, and Larry Morris, all of Madison; her step sister: Linda Perry of Madison; her grandchildren: Jennifer Hall and her husband, Dave, Joshua Higgins and his wife, April, Bethany Geyman and her husband, Ryan, Luke Higgins and Claire Higgins; her great-grandchildren: Courtnee, Olivia, Jackson, Dylan, Landon, Kadon, Jaxon, Hunter, Gavin, Kole, and Maylee; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Beatrice Morris and Elaine Lauderbaugh.

Reverend Bob Hicks will conduct funeral services at 12:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison Hilltop, with interment to follow in Indiana Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018, and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
