Lt. Col. Hahn spent a lifetime in service to his fellow man. First, as a registered nurse, then as a nurse anesthetist and also serving over 30 years in the US Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both in Elkhorn, WI. Born in Madras State, India, Lt. Col. Hahn was the son of Lutheran missionaries Bernard and Dorothy (Selle) Hahn. He had a lifelong interest in classic cars, classic military aircraft and military history. He also enjoyed supporting numerous charitable causes.
Lt. Col. Hahn is survived by his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, a brother, and two sisters.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bards-town Rd., with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
