WOLBACH — Doris L. Glenn, 93, of Wolbach died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the Fullerton Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Mike Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is assisting the family.
Doris was born on Feb. 13, 1924, in Wolbach to Grant and Helen (Severson) Lowe.
Doris was raised in Wolbach and attended Wolbach schools, where she graduated in 1942.
She was united in marriage to Albert Glenn on July 3, 1942 in Grand Island. The couple lived on three different farms northeast of Wolbach, where they were engaged in farming for all their lives. They had lived on their last farm since 1947.
Besides being a homemaker, Doris raised her family and helped on the farm.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, embroidery and doing crafts. She liked to listen to polka music and did a lot of reading.
Doris was baptized in the Lutheran faith and she was a member of the Happy Hour Club.
Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Barb Glenn of Greeley, John Glenn of Wolbach, Thomas Glenn of Cedar Rapids and Eugene “Bud” Glenn of Ord; two daughters, Rosena Glenn of Wolbach and Nina Glenn of St. Paul; and eight grandchildren and three great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; a daughter, Alberta Glenn; four brothers, Eddie and Ernie Lowe, who died in a blizzard in March 1966, and Roy and Bradford Lowe; and three sisters, Bertha Lowe, Maxine Gross and Cora Gjerman.
