Upland - Mrs. Nellie E Allen, of 153 12th Ave., died at her home this morning at the age of 79.
A resident of Upland for 47 years, Mrs. Allen was a member of the Daughter of the Union Veterans of the Civil War.
She is survived by her husband, David Allen, of Upland; a daughter, Mrs. Harold E. Nicholson, of Ontario; three sons, Kenneth D. Allen, of Covina, Elmer A. Allen, of Upland, and Arthur H. Allen, of Alta Loma; a brother, Arthur Rice of Pittsfield, Mass; 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday at the Stone Funeral Home, with Lawrence T. Holman, minister of the Church of the Nazarene of Covina, officiating.
The Daughters of the Union Veterans will conduct committal rites at Bellevue Cemetery.
