Zelma Divers Hubbard, 88, of Troutville passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Geneva Powell Divers, step mother, Effie Divers, siblings, Myrtle (Paul) Brubaker, Alma (Jake) Brubaker, Robert (Hattie) Divers, Loyd Divers, Boyd Divers, Alfred (Romaine) Divers, Ethel (Stewart) Seitz, Ories (Alma Ann) Divers, Ellas Divers, and Gilbert Divers.

Mrs. Hubbard was an avid gardener with a special love of flowers. She was known by many for her delicious fried apple pies.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Leonard Hubbard; children, Gerald (Carol) Hubbard, Glenn (Susan) Hubbard, Marlene (Mark) Bryant, Ray (Lorraine) Hubbard, Barbara (Jimmy) Bryant; seventeen grandchildren, fifty-two great- grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen (William) Ronk; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Rosa and Ann Divers.

She was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, New Conference.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Peters Creek Old German Baptist Church 7645 Wood Haven Road by Elders Glen Landes and Everett Wray. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Fincastle Fire Department or the Fincastle Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
