Edith Boggs

Edith was 92 years old when she passed away July 10, 2017, at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont, Colorado. She was married to George R. MacLeod and later, Frank Boggs, both of which are deceased. She had a daughter, Donna Turner, a son Tracy MacLeod, and granddaughter that are also deceased. She is survived by her sons, Keith MacLeod (wife Susan) and Roland MacLeod. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was born to Carl and Nellie Kinion September 15, 1924 in Iowa. After high school, she moved to Denver with her sister. There she met her husband, George MacLeod, who was stationed at Lowry Air force base. They raised four children in Arvada, Colorado. There was a bad accident that took her husband and youngest son, and left her badly injured. She recovered from her injuries and horrible family loss. She spent several years traveling in her motor home. Later she married Frank Boggs. Frank was stricken with West Nile disease and died several years later from complications of the disease. She moved to Erie, Colorado to be close to her family. She liked being in Erie, and had many friends, especially at the Erie Community Senior Center. A Memorial Service for Edith Boggs will be held Wednesday, August 2nd, 10:30 am at the Life Song Church, 470 Briggs St., Erie CO 80516.
